Tori & Peacock’s Wedding Day was finally here!! We had talked to Campbell for almost an entire year about being a flower girl and weddings and how much fun but also how important the day would be. When Tori asked her to be in the wedding I told her that I would make sure she was wearing what she was supposed to and be where she needed to be but couldn’t make any guarantees to what might happen! Tori was a bridesmaid in our wedding when she was in high school so it was special for her to ask Campbell to be in the wedding.
Campbell got to experience all the backstage excitement, anticipation, primping and waiting with Tori & her bridesmaids. She wasn’t quite sure what to expect but she had fun.
Luckily, Campbell had the attention of the bridesmaids and they took good care of her!
The bridesmaids’ dresses were a very flattering shade of blue. Tori gave each girl a beautiful broach they wore pinned on their hip with a tiny peacock feather.
Campbell was so excited that she had another flower girl & playmate.
Tori have her flower girls pearl bracelets with a tiny heart that matched her necklace.
The BEAUTIFUL Bride and her precious flower girls
Mrs. Vicki & Tori also gave Campbell her gifts from the rehearsal dinner. She got a monogrammed bag that had a wedding day Barbie and some of the cutest personalized things I have ever seen. So clever!!
This was a rice krispie treat that had Campbell’s photo on it! completely edible. At the reception, more of these were on sticks and were used on the kid’s table as a centerpiece. They had pictures of all the kids in the wedding and close family.
Campbell got a personalized book that Tori read to her. It was all about Campbell waking up one morning and learning how to spell her name.
and THEN…a personalized coloring book about PRINCESS CAMPBELL!! The story told of Princess Campbell and her friends from far away lands and all their princess treasurers. How perfect??!! Mrs. Vicki & Tori read it to Campbell as Mr. George looks on. I wonder if he was thinking about how quickly those little princesses grow up!
The wedding was absolutely beautiful and in spite of Campbell’s awful behavior at the rehearsal, she actually did what she was supposed to do. Matt & I sat at the very front on the side so she could sit with us or we could grab her if we needed to. She definitely wasn’t still (there are too many steps for that) but for most part she was quiet and didn’t get in the way. Luckily, there were lots of prayer times during the service so the bridesmaids would make their adjustments during those times & remind the flower girls of a promised lollipop if they were quiet and still. I am pretty sure the folks in the balcony got a good chuckle out of seeing all the activity. After it was over I breathed a HUGE sigh of relief! I guess she’s a professional flower girl now with 2 weddings behind her in 2 weeks!
The reception was lots of fun and Campbell got to run WILD. She stayed up so late, pitched a fit when Matt tried to take her home but finally she gave out and asked if she could tell Tori goodnight and go home and get in her bed. You know that is tired! Here’s some pics from the reception (thank you Haley W. for sharing your photos!!)
Thank you Tori for allowing Campbell to be apart of you & Peacock’s special day. You truly made Campbell feel like a little princess. We love you lots & look forward to many memories with ya’ll (and your own kiddos one day!)
