Spring Fever

Spring Fever was definitely in the air! You know that kind of weather that is so beautiful that it just begs you to get outside, you have thoughts of trading in your big, boring SUV for a sporty convertible or jeep so instead you settle for rolling down the windows, and you are itching to soak up some much needed Vitamin C to cure those lingering wintertime blues.

Last weekend was such weather and with nothing planned to do (which is so rare!) I talked Matt into coming along with me and Campbell to Enterprise to check out their arts festival. As chairman for our local arts festival (TroyFest), I always like to venture out to research artists and organizers' ideas and of course enjoy looking at new art.

Campbell's hair is slowly but surely growing. Its kinda looking a little frayed and gets in her eyes so I'm constantly trying to clip it back with bows or a barrette. Since it was spring fever and we were filling extra silly, I put her hair into pig tails (half anyway). When we got in the car I gave her little purple sunglasses the Easter Bunny brought and then she was really cool! Whenever we would say "You are sooo cool" she would nod her head really slowly and snap her finger. Cause she knows what cool is.

The festival was fun and we just enjoyed being outside and being with one another. Campbell was really good in her stroller but of course people would say "oh, she's so cute" so she was playing the part smiling and blowing kisses and waving. Such the actress!

Until we saw the kids train. Then all we heard was "choo choo puhlease..!!" So Daddy was a great sport and crawled into the mini train so she could ride. Absolutely made her day! We talk about trains alot since we live near tracks and hear the whistle and of course read books and see trains on TV but this was the first, real live train she had ever seen, not to mention get to actually take a ride!

On the way home we talked about the train and she watched her movie and danced to the radio. Yep, that spring fever has gotten to her, silly girl!
