Baby Shower from the Guys

Everyone has heard of a “girls & guys” baby shower-right?  Well, today I had a total “Guy
Shower” at work!  The guys, including Miss Martha-our office manager & the only other female in the office, honored me with a baby shower at work.

I work with all men (and Miss Martha!) and while I do get to hear an awful lot about football and action movies, most times I love it!  I don’t have to worry about drama or hormones and its actually very entertaining just listening to some of their insight sometimes.  I’ve learned a whole lot about the way guys think and could probably offer some good advice to some single gals.  But anyway, my “work spouses” as we sometimes refer to each other can be very thoughtful and generous and they came up with the idea to give me a Breakfast Baby Shower. Any excuse to eat, right??

We have have had birthday parties and retirement parties and holiday parties but never a baby party at work so this was definitely a first!

So this morning we had a wonderful breakfast casserole, fruit & biscuits (thank you Miss Martha!!!) and I got to open some great gifts.  They did very well-lots of cute but also practical things that I needed and am so thankful for!  I know some had some female help but I was still impressed. And it was too funny seeing them coming up with their pink bags and baby bows! They invited my parents & Matt so everyone could get in on the celebration.

I am so thankful to work some place that we can work hard together but then have a lot of fun. We really are just like family. Thank you guys!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Christopher & me (yes, I get to work with REAL family, too!).  Billy gets credit for suggesting the shower and was so proud of his present. He tried to convince us all that he tied the ribbon on the diapers with the cute stroller toy & pacifiers. (thank you Richelle!! :) )
