I can not believe it—Campbell has finished preschool and will be going to big school next year as she starts K4 at Pike. Wow-time has flown by!!
Earlier this week (on one of Matt’s days to get her dressed!), Campbell wore the exact outfit she wore to Open House two years ago when she started school. I remember it being big and having to roll up the pants so they would be capris. Well now, they are pulled down so she can wear them as shorts!! It’s funny that she can even wear it but amazing to see these two pictures side by side. She is growing up!!
This past year has been wonderful at MDO. We were so blessed to have Mrs Mary & Mrs Missy at her teachers and she had a great class and made lots of friends. I have been amazed how much she has learned this year—she can identify, write & sound out the entire alphabet, she knows her senses, her address, all her shapes, colors, numbers and is beginning concepts in reading and math! AND she has scissor skills (which I am told is a big deal—who knew?!). She has brought us home tons of wonderful art and lessons and has even learned some good rules for being a good leader and being a good friend is all about (and is not!) So I can say that we are 100% completely satisfied with our experience at Mother’s Day Out and now confident she can start K4 at the big school!
These are some pictures of her end of the year party. It actually ended up that this was her last day because she came home Thursday night with a fever and yucky eye muck (which we later found out was pink eye and a double ear infection!) So she missed her last day of school but she could care less. I tried to get sentimental with her about how much she has learned and how she was going to miss her teachers but no emotions for this one. She is ready for big school and those cool classrooms we toured a few weeks ago. So it has already started…she is in such a hurry to grow up!
They made t-shirts to wear for the party. The teachers handprints were on the back and Campbell’s was on the front.
“Mammah” she is saying. I suprised her by showing up just before the party to deliver teacher gifts and take pictures of her class. They are hot & dirty from the playground!
Campbell is being the caboose!
