Sara Gray is 6 months old!

Wow—half a year has already gone by since my precious angel was born. I can not believe it!!  She is such a great baby and I continue to be amazed how blessed we really are.  Today we had her six month check-up with Dr. Wood.

height: 27 inches / 90%
weight: 16.15 / 75%
head: 43 cm / 50%

She is developing right on schedule or maybe a bit ahead and looked great except for the an ear infection (that we treated two weeks ago!).  So we are going to try Suprax which should also help with the constant congestion.  It is never in her lungs which is good but Sara Gray seems to have had an ongoing cold for months now. The poor baby got 4 shots today!! Immunizations and a flu shot.  She was very fussy during her appt and I had her all to myself today.

Dr. Wood did encourage us to start experimenting with more foods, even mashed table food!  SG will be very happy about that since she literally follows our forks plate to mouth and tries to put anything she can reach in her mouth. So that will be something new and fun for her.

It is so cliche but she is growing up so fast!  I just can’t believe that its been six months since we were in the delivery room and in another six months we’ll be celebrating her First Birthday!

She is definitely teething-chewing on everything.  She can sit up for a few seconds for herself, play with toys, reach for anything she thinks she might can grab (including my hair), laughs out loud-usually at Campbell, tries to do the motorboat sound with her lips and is starting to show some interest in music / TV with “Praise Baby” being her favorite one that she will actually watch.  She absolutely LOVES Ms Frances, her sister, eating, her swing and her whale sounds teddy bear. and I absolutely LOVE her!!!
