Trick or Treat!

image My childhood friend, Katie, was in town for the weekend from Birmingham and I got to meet her precious little boy Andrew. Thanks Katie for the visit-it was so good to see you!!

image Our scary (aka TACKY) front lawn & porch.  Matt actually helped me this year do all of this very last minute Saturday afternoon.  We have gone all out in previous years since our front yard has been the hub for a lot of our friends and now people always mention it like we have a reputation to uphold or something. It really looked pretty good once the sun went down but lesson learned from last year-take pics before it gets too dark.

image See—you can still find good use dead flowers!  I am a recycler after all.

image Sara Gray spent most of the night snoozing away in her swing.

image Honey & Papa stopped by on their way to the TROY game.

image Campbell went trick-or-treating with Matt but it didn’t last very long. There just wasn’t that many houses participating this year-it was sorta sad!  But she came home and had a blast giving away candy.  When they would walk up she would say “oh, a scarecrow…” just like I was saying.  If she didn’t feel like she had given them adequate candy she was chase them down the sidewalk saying “here’s your caandyy!!”.  and for some of the few, lucky, costumed kids she gave them big hugs!!

After a long night, Campbell dumped her candy on the floor (is that a natural born instinct or something?) to just gaze at her loot.

I love how (in the picture of us) Campbell looks so poised and elegant while Andrew is having a melt down and trying to get away from me. Poor baby was tired. I enjoyed visiting with ya'll too. Come see us next time you're in town.
